# Licensing

{% hint style="info" %}
Rollout projects are licensed through a monthly subscription which is calculated **based on the amount of Clients** inside of it. As of now, we have 3 different plans for Rollout projects.

## Stripe

We are using [Stripe](https://stripe.com/) as **embedded Payment Platform** which streamlines the following aspects:

* Starting, updating or cancelling **subscriptions**
* Retrieving i**nvoices**

Rollouter is securely connected to Stripe's API to retrieve your organization's subscription status. However, Rollouter does not have access to your payment methods and also does not store them.

The embedded pages shown below are only accessible to `Administrators`.

## Inactive Rollouts

{% hint style="info" %}
By setting Rollout projects to **inactive**, they are not counting towards the Client Limit of your subscription anymore. The project is archived and can not be opened until it is active again.
{% endhint %}

This can be done at `Settings` -> `Rollouts` while editing a Rollout:
