Default & Custom Fields

In the Client Detail View, Users can access Fields by navigating to the "Fields"-Tab. Here, both Default and Custom Fields are displayed.

The Fields can be edited by Users who are at least Technician.


Default Fields

Default fields are predefined and contain the most important basic information of a Client. They can only be edited, but not be hidden.

Name

Contains the Clients Name, which usually is an internal Asset-Tag or the Hostname. It can be edited, but can not be empty. ⚠️ Warning: The Name must be unique within the Rollout.

A Text-Area Field that can be freely filled with more detailed information about the device.

In the example, the device type and model are listed.

Client Groups

A Multi-Selection Field, that allows the User to edit the Client Groups of the Device.

The selection is determined by the defined Client Groups of the Rollout.

Custom Fields

Displayed Custom Fields and their grouping in the are defined by the Client's Inventory. They can be edited depending on their Field Type by selecting them.
